Over the past couple of weeks, more students had the opportunity to take on the role of School Officer for the Day—a special honor earned by saving up Dojo points! A big thank you to Officer Deason for making this experience so much fun for the kids!

Dear Tower Parents and Guardians,
Here is some additional information regarding Picture Retake Day on 11/19/2024.
Retakes – Who needs one?
Any student that purchased a package and is not happy can take a retake! They need to return the package they purchased and we will replace it with the new photo.
Any student that was absent we need to photograph!
If someone did not purchase on the first picture day but wants a retake, they must bring back the proof sheet that was sent home to the photographer or payment for a package!
Anyone wanting a retake, the retake photo will replace the original photo!

Our second grade STEM Club members were introduced to the Vex 123 robots today. They have just started to learn the beginning steps to code this device to perform tasks. ❤️

Our S2S club loved having some of BHS S2S students come to our meeting yesterday. They told us about what S2S means to them and helped us prepare for our 'spare change' fundraiser for the MSU Fantasy of Lights this week.Â

Dear Tower Parents and Guardians,
Picture Retake Day will be on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
If you would like your child to participate in retakes, please notify their teacher. We will then send home the picture retake form.
Students who are new to Tower Elementary School or who were absent on Fall Picture Day (October 17, 2024) will also be sent for retakes.
If you have any questions regarding Picture Retake Day, please contact Mrs. Canham at the office: 940-855-3221.
Thank you!

Students in Tower Elementary's third grade STEM Club completed an experiment to determine which recipe works best as a substitute for snow. Students had to use their prior knowledge to determine which of the two recipes work best to mimic the texture and consistency of snow. Based on student research, they determined that shaving cream works better than using conditioner when mixed with baking soda to produce fake snow. ❤️

Dr. Owen will be live on our Burkburnett ISD Facebook page on Monday, December 9th at 6 PM.
If you have any questions for Dr. Owen, please ask them here 👇 in the comment section below in advance, and he will address them live.
Please keep all questions focused on policies, processes, or facilities at the district or campus level. Dr. Owen will not be answering any questions about specific personnel or student situations.
Dr. Owen will give a district update and then answer your submitted questions. Dr. Owen will end the town hall with a live Q & A that will allow you to ask questions in real-time.
We hope you will take the time to join in on these town halls and we hope you find the information and format beneficial.

No School Monday. HONORING ALL WHO SERVED!

The excitement is brewing for our Veteran's Day music program today! Thank you Mrs. Vivio for all of your hard work!

Dear Tower Parents and Guardians,
Hope to see you on Friday, November 8, 2024 for the Veterans Day Program.

Mrs. Potts' Pre-K3 students are enjoying the newly painted hopscotch and pathway on the south playground! Pre-K and Kinder want to offer our biggest thanks to all the volunteers who worked so hard on this project for our students!

Mrs. Horschler's Pre-K students were fully immersed into the world of community workers this week. Their centers were transformed into construction sites, doctor's offices, hair salons, police stations, and other various community workplaces. I think I need to make an appointment at the hair salon soon! :)

Dear Tower Parents and Guardians,
This is a wonderful opportunity to support the Burkburnett Unified team! If you would like to order a T-shirt, please fill out the Google Form and submit your payment at the office, either in cash or by check made out to Burkburnett Unified.
