Dear Tower Parents and Guardians,
Please join us for a special Veterans Day Program to honor our veterans.

Breakfast and lunch menu for November 2024.

Ms. Miller's Pre-K4 Class used their senses to explore a pumpkin while carving a jack-o-lantern. Not everyone was brave enough to feel the ooey-gooey insides, but all thoroughly enjoyed the activity!

Student 2 Student members were privileged to meet some of SAFB’s Honor Guard. SSgt Dinicola, SSgt Villasenor, and A1C Fisher taught S2S members to properly fold and display the United States of America Flag. Additionally, our members learned the duties and responsibilities of the Honor Guard, the ideals symbolized by the 13 folds, and that the Flag represents home to our military men and women all over the world.
The Airmen answered lots of great questions from our S2S members. Student 2 Student could not be more proud of our military and their families, their sacrifices, and their willingness to share their experiences with Tower students.
Your dedication to teaching the next generation is truly appreciated.

Accentuating right behaviors!
Here are a few students who redeemed their dojo points and earned the privilege of eating lunch up on the stage in the cafeteria!

Next week is our annual Red Ribbon Week! Here are our dress up days.

Dear Tower Parents and Guardians,
Our nurse's office is in need of clothing donations for our students.
If you have any clothing to spare, please drop it off at the school office.
Thank you for your support.

Our future looks SO bright. I can't wait for these children to grow up and lead our nation!
I see goodness in every smile. In PE today, we learned the rules of "gaga ball," which is a game of HONESTY and quick feet, and it is also a very competitive game with much fun involved. I wish you could have seen the honesty and good sportsmanship of the students in Mrs. Lemons' class! Two 4th graders were exceptionally SELFLESS, and I want to recognize them. The winner of the game always starts the next game in the center of the gaga pit, which everyone wants to do. At the end of one of the games, two students tied for the win. Grayson Lott, when it was time to do "rock , paper scissors" with the other winner, just GAVE him the ball and said, "YOU can start the game." It was so SELFLESS and kind. Leadership in action. Then, later in the game, Tre Findley did the exact same thing, when it was his turn to serve. He gave it to someone else. Again, selfless. I also want to give a shout out to Mrs. Lemons, who leads her class with expectations of greatness....and the students rise up!

Coming home this week- Create your veteran. We cannot wait to see what your children create!

The Tower Student 2 Student Leadership Club (S2S) had its first meeting yesterday after school! The core values of our club include excellence in the following: leadership, academics, service, climate and culture and relationships. Creating an inviting and supportive environment for ALL students is a very important goal and one that our students and moderators will work really hard at this year!

Today kindergarten students played hopscotch outside by practicing rote counting from 0-10 forwards and backwards!
We also practiced skip counting by 10's all the way up to 60! Kindergarten students also enjoyed a book buddy in class today as 5th grade students came to read to us! Way to go students of JGT! 🖤🧡🐾📚

Today is the last day to get your order in for this year's Military Family Strong shirt! https://shop.signonsigns.com/products/2024-military-family-strong-tee

5th Grade STEM Club: Today students were challenged to design and create a new invention! Students had to design a spider catch and release device that could help those who live in fear of spiders. 🕷️ I think we have some future Shark Tank contestants.
If you would like to view more exciting PLTW and STEM Club happenings please visit our Tower Stem Class Facebook page.

4th Grade STEM Club: Today in S.T.E.M. club, students were tasked with the design challenge to create a three dimensional prototype of a tree that could hold a bat. The tree had to stand up on its own without being taped to the table, support its own weight and the weight of the bat. Challenge accomplished!

Dear Tower Parents and Guardians,
Please do not forget about picture day.

District Attorney John Gillespie came to Tower yesterday to visit with our third, fourth, and fifth graders about the dangers of fentanyl, peer pressure, cyberbullying and other pertinent topics to this age group! We are so very grateful to Mr. Gillespie for taking the time to invest in our students. Thank you KFDX for covering the story! Our 3rd Graders had a Spooky Challenge today in STEM Club with Mrs. Blue. Students were challenged with designing the longest and strongest bone bridge! We discussed the structure and function of different materials that provide stability to allow their bridge to stand (just like our bones help provide our bodies structure).

Mrs. Blue's 2nd Grade STEM Club is off to a wonderful start! Students learned that spiders can regrow an entire leg! We connected this to the medical field and the use of prosthetics. Our design challenge was to help create a new leg for Frank the Spider. I think we have some future medical engineers in our class!
