S2S members from Tower and Sheppard Elementary Schools gathered at SAFB’s Main Gate and Missile Gate entrances to install MoMC signs. This is the second year that the handmade signs have been displayed. The goal is to raise awareness and celebrate the resilience of military-connected children.

S2S members would like to express a special “thank you” to the airmen and parents who helped install the signs.

Congratulations to these fourth graders, who won a Fitbit Charge 5 this morning! Fourth grade students were offered the opportunity to answer questions like, "Why is it important to be physically fit in the fourth grade?" And "Do I monitor my screen time? Could I do better?" All entries were put into a box for a random drawing this morning over the morning announcements! Again, congratulations to the winners!

Mrs. Dimock, Mrs. Canham and Mrs. Smith led a leadership Escape Room with S2S members. Students explored characteristics of what makes a great leader! The group talked about ways to “step up” and helped others in need. Together, S2S members demonstrated good problem solving skills, communication, and teamwork to solve the escape room!

Burkburnett ISD Bond FAQs

Q: The ballot says “This is a property tax increase”, but the district is saying the new tax rate will actually be below the current level. How so?

A: In 2019, a new law for school districts was imposed in Education Code 45.003(b-1), which adds an additional sentence to the ballot proposition: "THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE" The Texas Attorney General said this statement cannot be modified. Fact: Should both propositions pass, the District will be able to levy a tax rate below the current tax rate.

Screams, laughter, joy and WATER BALLOONS made for the BEST DAY EVER here at Tower! Our students raised over $9000 during our "penny wars" competition last week, put on by our amazing PTO! The reward was a water balloon party! Each student got a popsicle to eat, and a water balloon to throw at one of our staff! It was so amazing and we sincerely thank the PTO for all of their extremely hard work for our students!
