Burkburnett ISD wishes everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we pause to honor and remember the brave servicemen and servicewomen whose sacrifices have protected the freedoms we enjoy each day.

A BIG thank you to our local "Special Olympics Texas" organization! Future Stars Day, led by our 5th grade Unified Buddies, was a day of practicing fun skills such as bowling, obstacle courses, balloon striking, and all the things for our littlest Bulldogs!

With much excitement, I announce the Tower PE Students of the Year: Leo, Erinn and Carter! These students exemplify integrity, kindness, and a "can-do" attitude in every way! Please join me below in congratulating them!

Our kindergarteners have been learning all about plants and how flowers grow! 🌱🌸 To celebrate Mother’s Day, students painted adorable flower pots and planted flowers to take home for someone special. We loved watching their creativity bloom while making heartfelt gifts for their families! 💕

Dr. Owen will be LIVE on our Burkburnett ISD Facebook page Monday, May 11th at 12:20 PM. If you have questions for Dr. Owen, please ask them here in the comment section below in advance, and he will address them live. Please keep all questions focused on policies, processes, or facilities at the district or campus level. Dr. Owen will not be answering any questions about specific personnel or student situations.

Dr. Owen will give a district update and then answer your submitted questions, and will end the Bulldog Huddle with a live Q & A that will allow you to ask questions in real-time.

ALWAYS. For our students! 4th grade teachers ROCK! Read on! Which one is YOUR favorite?! Bulldog Hallway Heroes: A Surprise Boost for Our Students! If the hallways felt a little brighter this week, you weren't imagining it! 4th graders were in for an extra special treat this week. Their teachers had been working hard behind the scenes to level up their wing with some added love and motivation. Our students walked into a huge surprise as colorful, motivational posters appeared overnight, turning our hallway into a massive "cheering section." From big reminders of "Leave no Crumbs..." to simple notes like "We Believe in You," the decor is already a huge hit. It’s been great seeing students stop pausing to read a quote before heading into class. Tackling I-Ready Diagnostics The timing for these posters couldn't be better. This week, our Bulldogs are tackling their End of Year I-Ready Diagnostics. These posters are here to remind every student that all the hard work they’ve put in since August has prepared them for this moment. Why we’re doing this: A Confidence Boost: A little positivity goes a long way in shaking off those testing jitters. Celebrating Growth: This isn't just about a score; it’s about seeing how much every student has improved this year. Bulldog Pride: It’s a reminder that we’re all one big team!
