Bulldog Basics Tenets
1. Treat others with kindness.
2. No matter the circumstances, always be honest.
3. Clean up after yourself.
4. Try your best, even when it is difficult.
5. Acknowledge each other in appropriate ways.
6. Be teachable/coachable.
7. Respectfully stand up for what you believe in, while respecting others' comments, opinions, and ideas.
8. If you see a friend struggling, let an adult know.
9. Find the good in others and speak it.
Congratulations to John G. Tower Elementary on earning the Texas Education Agency’s Purple Star Campus Designation!
This designation recognizes campuses committed to supporting the unique needs of military-connected students and their families. Tower Elementary met rigorous criteria, including providing a military liaison, transition support, accessible resources, and initiatives that strengthen connections with military families.
Principal Heather Whited stated, “We are incredibly honored that our school has been officially designated as a Purple Star Campus. This distinction reflects our deep, unwavering commitment to supporting our military-connected students and families as they navigate the unique challenges of military life. Thank you to our amazing staff, community, and military families for making our school a welcoming, supportive place where every hero’s child can thrive!”

"Never give up!" is the mantra for our Tower Staff Step Challenge for August! Congratulations to our winner, Mr. Tanner, and runner-up, Mrs. White! Both had over 260,000 steps!
Mrs. Cluley, who teaches physical education at Tower Elementary, was recently named the Region 9 Elementary Teacher of the Year.

As Burkburnett ISD’s Social Worker, Lauren Unruh collaborates with administrators, counselors, teachers, community agencies, and parents/guardians to help ensure students and families have the support and resources they need.
If you have a question or need assistance, Mrs. Unruh is available by phone or email. Staff and parents/guardians can also submit a referral through the BISD referral form.
