Check out some of our awesome 1st graders with their sentence writing and self-portraits! Each month, students will draw a picture of themselves along with sentence writing. Teachers have them displayed outside of their classrooms. It is so much fun to see their progress throughout the school year working on writing conventions and drawings!

On National Public School Volunteer Appreciation Week, we extend our deepest gratitude to the individuals who give their time, energy, and compassion to support our students and staff.
From all of us, thank you for being such an important part of our Bulldog family.

💍 Today we celebrated a very special wedding in kindergarten…..the union of Q and U! 💕
In our class, Q never goes anywhere without U, what a perfect pair! Together, they make the /kw/ sound in words like queen, quilt, and quick. 👑🧵⚡
Our students had so much fun “attending” the wedding and practicing words with this inseparable duo. Ask your child about why Q and U make such a great team!

The Burkburnett ISD Board of Trustees recognized students in Tower Elementary’s Unified Program for their leadership. Students spoke about how participation in the program has improved their team work, patience, and understanding of others.

Burkburnett ISD is pleased to announce that Dr. Angela Rooney will serve as Principal of Overton Ray Elementary starting in the 2026–27 school year. Dr. Rooney currently serves as the principal of I.C. Evans Elementary.

BIG shout out to Mrs. Molly Lott, who created a wonderful hallway display to encourage our students to do their very best on STAAR testing! Mrs. Lott invited all staff to create Bitmoji characters of themselves, along with speech bubbles to encourage the 3rd-5th students! Mrs. Lott was here at school for a good bit of the weekend putting up the bitmojis that the teachers created. Here are a few of the incredibly creative and encouraging bitmojis for your enjoyment! Thank you Tower Staff for taking your time to create these for our students! Mrs. Lott, you ROCK!

Burkburnett ISD Bond FAQs
Q: Can I vote on both propositions separately?
A: Yes. Voters should record their vote in each of the propositions on the ballot. Click the
link to the Bond Propositions page. https://www.burkburnettisd.org/o/bisd/page/2026-bond-propositions
Proposition A focuses on upgrading facilities across Burkburnett ISD. The proposition includes career and technical education with a complete CTE wing renovation at the high school, upgrades safety through new fire alarm and camera systems district-wide, and improves student spaces with auditorium upgrades, restroom renovations, playground shade structures, and locker room improvements. Additional funds would support parking lot enhancements, physical education facilities, and new transportation vehicles.
Proposition B proposes a new Multi-Purpose Indoor Activity Center at the north end of the football stadium. This climate-controlled facility would provide year-round training space for band, athletics, ROTC, and our elementary schools. The project also includes a new girls' soccer locker room.
