Screams, laughter, joy and WATER BALLOONS made for the BEST DAY EVER here at Tower! Our students raised over $9000 during our "penny wars" competition last week, put on by our amazing PTO! The reward was a water balloon party! Each student got a popsicle to eat, and a water balloon to throw at one of our staff! It was so amazing and we sincerely thank the PTO for all of their extremely hard work for our students!

Bulldog way right here! Selflessness right here! In PE, we change squad lines about every six weeks so that we can have new leaders and new teams. I assign points to a particular squad if they are doing the right thing or if they win a competition. The students in the winning squad receive a small prize. We have done this every day this week. I overheard these four selfless students in different classes tell their teammates, "You go first," when choosing a prize! I never told them to say this. I was just listening. Congratulations to the four of you for setting a beautiful example for your classmates!

🧩💛 **Our 1st Graders Took on a Shape Escape Room!** 💛🧩 Today our classrooms were filled with excitement, teamwork, and LOTS of shape talk! Our 1st graders worked together to solve a Shape Escape Room challenge! Each team was given 4 mystery envelopes and inside each one was a different 2D shape challenge. In order to unlock each envelope, students had to collaborate, listen to one another, and use what they’ve been learning about 2D Shapes.
The envelopes consisted of:
đź”· Composed new shapes using smaller ones
🔺 Identified and named 2D shapes
đźź© Sorted shapes by their attributes
🔵 Distinguished between similar shapes
The best part? Watching them encourage each other. 💛 “I think it’s a rectangle because…” “Let’s try this one!” “We can do it together!” When that final lock opened, the cheers were priceless! 🎉 They were so proud and they definitely earned their special prize after unlocking all four envelopes. More than just a fun game, this activity gave students the chance to show what they know, practice teamwork, and build confidence in such a meaningful way. What a fun way to learn! ✨
