Kindergarten students enjoyed their class prize for meeting their 6,400 minutes on the JGT record reading challenge of a lunch camp out and a pizza party with a movie! Shoutout to Ms. Stolle's KG class for reading the most minutes in the KG grade level! Ms. Stolle's class earned a class popcorn party today as well as gift cards to Red Robin and Braums! We are SO incredibly proud of all of our kindergarten students! 🎉🔥🏕️🍕🎥🍿🏆

We would like to thank all the sponsors who contributed to our raffle give away at the Brooks Gibbs Parent Seminar! Thank you for supporting Burkburnett ISD. We appreciate you!

Last week we surveyed our elementary staff and elementary parents to see if they would be willing to add 10 minutes (5 min in the a.m. and 5 min in the p.m.) to the elementary bell schedule for the rest of the year beginning next Monday so that all students could get Good Friday (April 18th) off. The surveys had overwhelming support for this. This does not effect the secondary bell schedules as they are already longer.
So, we will have April 18th off. See Calendar attached.
Elementary parents: This does not alter any other part of the school day. The drop off times for parents in the morning will not be changed to an earlier time, but kids need to be at school no later than 7:40.

Mrs. Potts' PK3 students enjoying special guest readers!

Selflessness to the core.
Connor's PE squad had the most points this 8 weeks, thus his squad members won a small prize.. One of the prizes was a good looking "monster truck," and there was only one of them. Connor immediately chose the truck, walked to a student in a different squad and handed him the monster truck. Connor said, "He really really loves monster trucks and when I saw it, I knew I wanted to give it to him!" What a generous and magnanimous thing to do, Connor!

Tower Pre-K students have been enjoying the "Tower Record Readers" Challenge this month. Our favorite was having parents come read to the class!

💍Today, we celebrated a special wedding as the letters Q and U tied the knot! 💍
The Kindergarten classes gathered together to proclaim their beautiful union of these two letters symbolizing how Q and U will always work together in words like “queen” and “quick”. Everyone hugged as they finished their vows promising to always stick together, forever and always! ☺️

It's time to Spring Forward and enjoy your Spring Break with longer days in the sun!

Hello Kindergarten - 5th Grade Parents !
Just as a "heads up," I wanted you to know that the 1st Annual John G. Tower "Bike Road-eo" will take place on April 7th and 8th! On one of these days (the schedule will be released after Spring Break) your child will bring their bicycle to school in the morning and during their PE time, students will be given bike safety instruction by TxDOT and Bike Friendly - Wichita Falls. After that, the students will walk their bikes out to Hooper Drive (part of which will be closed off by the city for the day) and ride their bikes on a course set up by TxDOT! It will be a great day for your child! If your child does not bring a bike to school that day, they will still learn bike safety and they will walk the course. More information will be forthcoming. I wanted to let you know before Spring Break, as your child may want to practice their bike riding skills over the break!
With my fond regards,
Mrs. Cluley
