In a momentous occasion for our tennis program, Caden Coker has signed to play tennis at Midwestern State University (MSU Texas), marking the next exciting phase of his athletic and academic career.
According to his coach, Kelli Winn, "Caden Coker exemplifies integrity and the highest of sportsmanship when he competes. His accomplishments on the court are so much more rewarding because of this. Caden has had a racquet in his hand since he was 5, competing in his first tournament at the age of 8. His high level of play has come from countless hours he has put in on his own, practicing and competing. On top of his abilities on the court, he's always been supportive and encouraging as a teammate. He's made a positive impact on our program for the last 7 years."
His 2024 season was particularly remarkable, as he became the State Doubles Champion and secured district and regional championships. He was also selected for the prestigious THSCA Super-Elite Team. The 2025 season further solidified his reputation, with an undefeated run in district play and through three rounds of playoffs, earning him another spot on the THSCA Super-Elite Team for the fall season.
Caden's tournament success is equally impressive. He claimed victories at the Rockwall Heath Valentine Tournament, Texoma Smash, Argyle Hwy 377 Tournament, and Dallas Lake Highlands Tournament, showcasing his versatility and skill as a singles player.
What sets Caden apart is not just his athletic prowess, but his exceptional sportsmanship and team leadership. He has been a consistently supportive and encouraging teammate, making a significant positive impact on our program. His success is a testament to his dedication, integrity, and the countless hours of focused practice he has invested in his craft.
As Caden prepares to join the MSU Texas tennis program, he carries with him a legacy of excellence, both on the court and in the classroom. We are incredibly proud of his accomplishments and excited to see him continue to grow as an athlete and a student.
