At John Tower Elementary, the fourth graders had a fun and creative experience using Canva AI to make images and photographs for their Halloween stories. After writing their spooky tales, they learned how to design visuals that matched their stories and explained how these images supported their author’s purpose. One group of students learned how to use the program first and then became "student teachers" by showing their classmates how to create graphics. They did an amazing job, although they quickly realized, "Man, teaching is hard!" This project helped them combine technology with storytelling in a way that was both challenging and exciting.
