BISD would like to notify everyone that we will have fireworks at the end of our graduation ceremony Friday evening to send our amazing graduates off with a BANG! The fireworks will be at the north end of the football stadium around 9:30PM. Even if you aren’t attending graduation, we would love for you to bring your kids out to enjoy the fireworks after graduation!

🚨 Burkburnett ISD is Hiring! 🚨 We’re seeking a Technology Facilitator with strong technical skills and a service-first mindset to support our district's technology operations. This is a critical role in maintaining our systems, supporting staff and students, and managing the rostering and integration of software platforms. Key Responsibilities: 🔹 Software Rostering & Management: •Oversee rostering and user account management for key systems (Office 365, GoGuardian, ClassLink, etc.) •Work with campus staff and vendors for accurate and timely data syncs. •Maintain SSO (Single Sign-On) integrations and troubleshoot user access issues. 🔹 Technical Support & Equipment Maintenance: •Install, configure, and repair computers, printers, AV equipment, and mobile devices. •Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues. •Maintain the district’s wireless infrastructure and IP-based systems. 🔹 Training & Collaboration: •Provide one-on-one and group training on hardware, software, and cloud tools. •Collaborate with IT staff to develop technology solutions that support instructional goals. •Respond to helpdesk requests and track resolutions in the district’s ticketing system. Qualifications: 🎓 Education/Certification: •Bachelor’s degree required •Degree in technology or related field preferred 🖥️ Experience: •Minimum of 2 years in K–12 or related technical support •Experience with software rostering tools and student information systems (SIS) strongly preferred 🔧 Knowledge/Skills: •Excellent customer service and communication skills •Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and Chrome OS environments •Familiarity with networked systems and cloud-based device management •Ability to present tech training effectively to adults and/or students •Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for rostering and data syncs Why Join Burkburnett ISD? Spring is always busy, so here are some dates to add to your calendar moving forward.

We are in need of some new artwork in the building, specifically in the office area so we are going to try something new: a photo contest! We want students to find the beauty in their community and take a picture. It can be your favorite place, a beautiful sunset, or just somewhere special in our wonderful town. Winners will have their art displayed on the walls of Overton Ray. Attached, you will find a graphic with all the rules and deadline for entry. BISD was proud to host resiliency influencer Brooks Gibbs. On Monday night, he delivered an inspirational message empowering BISD parents. The Boomtown Babes and BMS Choir performed, too!  Thanks to The River Assembly of God for providing hot dogs, BMS StuCo for providing water, and BMS S2S for serving free popcorn!  It was a stellar night, complete with tons of raffle prizes!  Dr. Gibbs also presented to BMS 6th and 7th graders, sharing about emotional resiliency.

We would like to thank all the sponsors who contributed to our raffle give away at the Brooks Gibbs Parent Seminar! Thank you for supporting Burkburnett ISD. We appreciate you!

Last week we surveyed our elementary staff and elementary parents to see if they would be willing to add 10 minutes (5 min in the a.m. and 5 min in the p.m.) to the elementary bell schedule for the rest of the year beginning next Monday so that all students could get Good Friday (April 18th) off. The surveys had overwhelming support for this. This does not effect the secondary bell schedules as they are already longer. So, we will have April 18th off. See Calendar attached. Elementary parents: This does not alter any other part of the school day. The drop off times for parents in the morning will not be changed to an earlier time, but kids need to be at school no later than 7:40.
