Overton Ray fifth grade science classes launched a PBL today about ecosystems. The students in Ms. Rodriguez’s class launched with fun animal print table cloths, safari hats, and of course some delicious animal cookies. We can’t wait to see their incredible mobile museum projects next month!

The 4th grade students learned about sounds waves and how adjusting the frequency (tone) and amplitude (volume) during a sound simulation can create movement.

The 5th grade STEM Club students were so involved in creating their themed park they didn’t want to stop. They will use block coding at our next meeting to drive their Spheros with animations and sounds.

I had the privilege of having one of our 5th grade students shadow me today! Alice is an amazing student and did a great job today!
Attention: BHS will release at noon on Thursday to host the UIL Academic Meet. All other campuses will have normal hours. BHS bus students who are not participating in the UIL meet will ride the bus at noon. Again, all other campuses are on normal hours and buses will run at normal time for them.
At Overton Ray, today was decreed Beach Bash Day by 5th grader Jayley J! These lovely ladies look like they are ready for Spring Break vacation.

4th & 5th Grade present Poetry and Pastries Night Monday, March 6th. All proceeds go to help 4th and 5th grade field trips and 5th grade celebration.
