What is Head Start?
Head Start is an all-day pre-k type program that serves children who meet specific criteria. To be eligible for Head Start children must be 3 or 4 on or before September 1st. Families must also meet one of the following criteria:
1. Meet Federal Poverty Guidelines.
2. Currently receive TANF, SSI, or SNAP.
3. Currently Homeless.
4. Currently in Foster Care.
How do I apply?

Documents needed for Application
Child's:
Official Birth Certificate
Social Security Card
Shot Record
Medicaid/Insurance Card
Parent's:
ID Card
Proof of Residence (utility bill with your name and address on it, lease agreement, notarized letter stating place of residence)
Proof of Income for all adults in the home (W-2, Proof of Child Support, 1040 Tax Return, Check Stubs, Foster Care Paperwork, Proof of SNAP/TANF/SSI Documentation.)
